Professor, D.Sc. (Eng.), Head of the Department of Design and Operation of Metallurgical Machines and Equipment, Vice Rector for International Affairs, Nosov Magnitogorsk State Technical University. Editor-in-Chief of Mechanical Equipment of Metallurgical Plants journal; recipient of grants in metallurgy and mechanical engineering funded by the Russian Ministry of Education and Science.
Professor Korchunov provides scientific guidance to postgraduate and degree-seeking students, and four of his students have been awarded a PhD degree in engineering. Professor Korchunov’s interests lie in the areas of quality control of high value added products for machine building, railway and construction industries; research and development of metal forming processes involving small plastic deformations.
Professor Korchunov has published over 100 papers, including 5 monographs, 5 patents of the Russian Federation for inventions and 4 registration certificates for computer software.
