Information about the Journal

The Vestnik of Nosov Magnitogorsk State Technical University is a scientific peer-reviewed journal committed to publishing advanced research findings and design project outcomes by renowned academicians, manufacturers, young researchers from Russia and foreign countries engaged in the fields of metallurgy, engineering, metalworking and related industries. Publication themes cover the full range of current issues from mineral mining, iron and steel production and rolled products to high value processing for different fields of economics. Much attention is devoted to current trends in raw materials development, energy saving, automation, economics and environmental protection, standardization and quality management, as well as personnel training for the metallurgical, engineering, and metalworking industries.

The journal was established in 2003. Authors from 30 countries have their articles published in Vestnik of Nosov Magnitogorsk State Technical University.

In 2007 the Vestnik of Nosov Magnitogorsk State Technical University was included in the List of Leading Peer-Reviewed Scientific Journals and Publications committed to publishing the research findings of doctoral and PhD candidates.

The journal was included in the 2015 List under the following research fields:

  • 25.00.00 – Earth Sciences;
  • 05.16.00 – Metallurgy & Material Science;
  • 05.02.00 – Mechanical Engineering;
  • 05.09.00 – Electrical Engineering.

The Editorial Board of the journal consists of leadigng academics from Russia, Japan, Germany, India, Italy, Poland, Kazakhstan, Great Britain, France, Malaysia, China, Serbia, Slovenia.

All publications are free of charge.

Before being published all articles are subject to peer-reviewing and editing and are assigned DOI indices.

An article may be rejected if it fails to meet the established requirements.

All incoming articles are checked for plagiarism in the system Antiplagiat.Vuz. Articles with more than 30% of unacceptable plagiarism shall be rejected and returned to their authors.

Authors shall ensure that their work has never been published before. If a part of an author’s work has been published before (e.g. as an article, monograph, thesis synopsis, etc.) in the author’s native or a foreign language, the author is obliged to provide a reference to the previous publication while indicating in which way the current work is different from and how it is related to the findings posted in the previous publication. The maximum word for word copying of an author’s own articles or parts of their content allowable is 30%. Paraphrasing of previous articles is not acceptable.
