Henryk Dyja (Poland)

D. Sc. (Eng.), Professor at the Czenstochowa University of Technology, Poland, he is an eminent metallurgical scientist. A renowned researcher of metal forming technology and a founder of his own scientific school, Professor Dyja has authored over 800 publications, including 18 books and monographs. Under Henryk’s supervision, eighteen postgraduate students have successfully defended their PhD theses and more than 100 Master’s and Bachelor’s students have defended their graduation diplomas.

Professor Dyja has received 7 awards from the Polish Minister of National Education and Sports in recognition of his educational, scientific and managerial achievements. He is a holder of the Order of Polonia Restituta and he has been awarded the Silver Cross of Merit (1984), a medal of the National Education Commission (2001), a Gold Medal for Long Service, a Gold Honorary Medal of Merit for the Silesian Voivodeship. Professor Dyja has been awarded an honorary doctorate degree Honoris Causa by the National Metallurgical Academy of Ukraine in Dnepropetrovsk, the Moscow State Institute of Steel and Alloys and St. Petersburg State Technical University.
