Vadim M. Shchastlivtsev (Russia)
Academician at the Russian Academy of Sciences, D.Sc. (Eng.), Professor, Head of Research at the Materials Department of the Mikheev Institute of Metal Physics, the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Professor Shchastlivtsev’s interests lie in solving the basic and priority problems of physical metallurgy and heat treatment theory.
Vadim Shchastlivtsev has authored 370 academic papers, including 10 monographs and about 230 peer-reviewed articles and certificates of authorship. He is Chair of the Ural Schools of Metallurgy and Heat Treatment, which are held regularly. Professor Shchastlivtsev is also Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the journal Metal Physics and Materials Science and a member of the panel on advanced structural materials within the Academic Council of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Professor Shchastlivtsev has been awarded the Peoples’ Friendship Order, and he is a winner of the Chernov Prize and the prize of the NAUKA International Academic Publishing Company.
