Olga E. Gorlova leads the research area aimed at providing a methodological rationale for, and development of technologies for integrated and deep processing of complex natural and industry-related mineral raw materials, presenting difficulties with washability. She is a recognized expert in resource-saving processing of mining waste for environmental improvement and replenishment of a mineral raw material base of enterprises. She published over 115 research and academic papers. 20 research papers are included in Scopus and Web of Science.
She is a leader and principal researcher of several research projects supported by the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Russian Science Foundation, and contract-based research with industrial enterprises of the region. She is an expert of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research.
She won the regional competition for projects of basic and applied research aimed at development of economy of the Chelyabinsk Region in 2021 in the priority "Ecology and nature management".
She is a winner of the award of the Academy of Mining Sciences (the Plaksin Award) in 2010.
She is a member of Thesis Board D 212.111.02 for defending doctoral and PhD theses at NMSTU.
